In this section the whole interior and exterior of the car will be painted. Also painting of misc. parts, like underbody parts, will be included in this section.

I started from the underbody since the body laid on it's side and the underbody is perfect place to start practicing the use of a spray gun.

A DIY -spraybooth was constructed around the body using thin plastic fabric and a stapler.

The underside has been sanded with a 180 grit sandpaper and washed clean from dust and dirt.

The first partly done layer of paint. I run out of paint since I under estimated the amount of paint I need. Since the paint has fully cured, it must be scuffed with 400 grit sandpaper before recoating.

A new delivery of paint arrived and the underside has now been painted. Each spot got 2...3 layers of paint.

The support beam was painted with POR-15 a year ago. After scuffing the primer seems to have cured well on it.

Pohjamaalin kuivuttua kävin läpi pohjan kaikki saumat Sikaflex 221 -liima- ja tiivisteaineella. Väriksi valitsin vaalean harmaan pohjavärin mukaan. Ainetta kului hieman yli yksi 300ml tuubi.
After the primer had dried, I went and sealed all the seams on the underbody with Sikaflex 221 glue and seam sealer. The color was light gray to match the primer. I spent a little over one 300ml tube.

The interior all primed up.
Käytin sisustan maalaamisen lopun pohjaan käytetystä maalista. Kuva on rakeinen, sillä musta syö hyvin valoa ja kameran ISO -arvoa oli korotettava.
I painted the interior with the left over paint from the underbody paint job. The image is grainy because the black color eats all the light and I had to increase the ISO -setting of my camera.
